I am thankful for and appreciate each and every person who continues to support my business, especially in such troubled times. May you all be as blessed as you have made me!
Thank you for your service!!
Having trouble finding masks, hand sanitizer and other personal protection supplies? All of these and more are in stock and available now. Call or text me your order and I can even do curb service.

Smile for the day

Here’s all the requirements in writing for salon services. It’s pretty much the same thing I have been telling everyone that makes an appointment. We finally have Governor guidelines. The images are posted below and will be accessible on the board web page as well. Sorry for any delay. We pulled this information off the Healthy At Work site as soon as we were told it was available.

Please continue to monitor this page as well as the website for more information as it is allowed to be shared.

All guidelines are to be used in addition to the regulatory standards already in place. 201 KAR 12:100 is the infection control and safety regulation for the KBC.

It's just hair - I got to be a part of your wedding!

It's just hair - I was there for your child's first haircut.

It's just hair - I was there for your first date.

It's just hair - I was there for your school dance .

It's just hair - I was there for their funeral.

It's just hair- I was there for your graduation.

It's just hair- I was there when you didn't like the way you looked.

It's just hair- when you are getting ready to interview for your dream job and we needed to get you a full makeover and pep talk

It's just hair- when all you wanted in the whole world is a hug from your hair stylist because you knew they'd give it to you with open arms!

It’s just hair- when you just found out your expecting and haven’t shared the news with anyone else yet

It's just hair- when you lost your job and didn't know what you were going to do

It's just hair- when you were getting a divorce and just needed to feel better about yourself.

It's just hair- when you had a terrible day and looked forward to being able to vent without being judged

It’s just hair- when I came in after hours to get your hair done before a last minute early morning flight to make it home in time to see a loved one before it’s too late

It's just hair- when you are about to go on vacation and can't wait to tell me all about it on your next visit

It's just hair- when you bought your very first home

It’s just hair - when I buzzed it all off and cried with you.

It's just hair ...

It's not "just hair" Never has been and never will be!

We now have a tentative reopening date of May 25.

I already provide a clean cape for every client and clean up in between, so that is not new. There will be a slight change in operation in order to meet guidelines.
Appointment only.
One person at a time, exceptions made only for children receiving a service.
If you arrive early you must wait in your car until advised to enter.
Everyone must wear a mask, disposable is best for color services.
Everyone will need to wash hands or use hand sanitizer upon entering.
Everyone will have temperature taken.

I will be reaching out to those who had their appointment canceled due to shutdown. I also have a list of people who have already contacted me wanting an appointment. If you are not in either of these categories please call or text the shop and leave me details of what you need done, as well as contact information. (606)515-0125

This is new for all of us but we will make it work!
Sounds like when we get to reopen it will be a new setting. In light of information being released I am preparing to have a soft opening, including ppe. I am reaching out to my clients and friends in order to locally source some ear loop masks, with the filter pocket. If you or someone you know is making masks hit me up with some info on ordering.
Miss each and every one of you. Stay safe and I will be back soon as possible!!
As I sit here in home quarantine reading all the posts on the hairdressers sites , I’d like to let everyone know what asking us to do your hair does to a hairdresser.
1: you are putting them on the spot by asking to have your hair done.
2. We never want to say NO to you.
3. Most of us are the sole income to our families or ourselves.
4. None of us wanted to shut down, but your safety and ours comes first.
5. If we say no to you , will you return to us after this is over?
6. Those of you who remain open are taking our clients undermining the 6’ rule. By doing so this shut down will last longer than you think!
7. For those who are still taking clients, you obviously don’t understand the severity of this illness, nor do you know who you are putting at risk by your selfishness.
8. So now at this point your hairdresser is at a breaking point within themselves, we want to say yes ( we don’t want to lose you as a client) we are supposed to say NO
( there is no way on earth we can distance ourselves from you by 6’ ) . We need you , we need the money.
9. We are now driving ourselves nuts because we are afraid to say yes and we feel damned if we say no!
10. By the time this is over your hairdresser may or may not still be here and that my friends is we’re you come in.
11. If you already self quarantined for 14 days , you need to ask yourselves this before you ask us to do your hair: did my stylist shut down, when? How long have we been on lock down? Do we have people in our families with compromised immune systems? Do we ourselves have a compromised immune system? Is it worth causing someone’s death?
I think these words of wisdom can help some of you understand that by the end of this most of us will probably be on some kind of anti depression medicine, because we are tearing ourselves up inside by saying no to you and yes to ourselves. Hairdressers have never put themselves first: YOU THE CLIENT IS OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY!
Please help us stay safe to continue our services for you by letting us just stop for right now. Most of you aren’t working right now either.
Unfortunately due to state mandate we will be closing today at 5:00pm and will not be able to reopen until at least April 1st.
